Do you know that on yearly basis one of above mentioned institution is selected as the organising institute for GATE? Students who are interested to apply for fellowship must have cleared GATE examination as it is the minimum requirement for these.
Many government organisations give priority to GATE qualification for issuing various fellowships to the brilliant students.
In GATE examination students have to take a single paper of three hours which will have 65 multiple choice objective questions with a maximum of 100 marks.

The Examination paper have 30 questions which will carry one mark each and the rest 35 questions will have two marks each. The total 65 question makes 100 marks question paper.

What does the question paper have?
The question paper will consist of objective questions
In case of multiple choice type questions each question will have four choices for the answer.

There is negative marking for wrong answers.
The examination in the fields of aerospace, geology, mining, and textile will be held online.

The GATE committee is the only authority to decide the qualifying score each year.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

The GATE Exam committee, which comprises of representatives from the administering institutes, is the sole authority for regulating the examination and declaring the results. GATE is conducted through the constitution of eight zones
